The following diagram is a simplified Workflow of the reverse geocoding process with the most important steps.

Step Description

Search coordinates

The first step is to search for all possible candidates that could match the coordinates.

Check tolerance

After findig the possible candidates it will be checked if a tolerance is set. Is this the case all possible candidates in the tolerance of the coordinates will be added to the result.

Return result

At the end of the workflow, the correct address or a list of address candidates is returned.
